On Saturday 15 February, Riverview hosted the 141st Gold Cup Regatta, and once again, the OIU BBQ was in full swing from 7am. Thankfully the weather gods were kind, and we enjoyed perfect conditions. 

Many thanks to everyone who volunteered during the day, in what was a great success. Special thanks to the representatives from the various Old Ignatians' sporting clubs, including cricket, rugby, and football. And the day could not have gone ahead without members of the Old Ignatians' Rowing Club in the safety boats and on the organising committee for the regatta itself. 

During the afternoon, the new College Principal, Mr Mark Tannock, visited the OIU BBQ, which was great to see. 

Our next BBQs will be during the winter season when the College hosts home rugby games. Keep an eye out for emails from our BBQ Captains, Ben Frawley (OR1987) and David McKay (OR1989) with dates for home games and sign-up links. We encourage all old boys to volunteer for a shift or two, especially current Riverview parents, and look forward to seeing you there!
