Old Ignatians' Cricket Club – Presentation Night
Friday, 17 May 2024

On Friday 17 May, the Old Ignatians’ Cricket Club (OICC) Presentation Night for season 2023/24 was held at our club sponsor’s venue, the Longueville Sports Club (The Diddy).

The OICC has four teams, comprising two teams which play on Saturdays, and two teams (over 40s Masters, and over 50s Classics) which play on alternate Sundays.

All four teams were represented on the night, with the ages of players ranging from early twenties through to players in their sixties.

By all measures, season 2023/24 was a highly successful one for the club, with the two Saturday teams winning their grand finals.

The OICC Robinson won the Northern Suburbs Cricket Association (NSW) B grade one day competition, whilst the OICC Taronga won the Northern Suburbs Cricket Association (NSW) D grade one day competition.

Special club awards included:
- Baz Richards Cup for Champion player of the year: Jasper Walsh (OR2019) 622 runs @ 62.2 and 27 wickets @ 10.89.
- Mark Coleman Cup for Clubman of the year: John Colquhoun (OR1989).

While all award recipients were well deserved, Kris Mason, captain of the over 40s Masters, was to the top run scorer (2nd time) across the whole of the 20-team competition, with 281 runs @ 46.67.
