On Friday, May 24, 2024, Saint Ignatius' College Riverview hosted an information session and community reception at Merewether Surfhouse, Newcastle. The function was a well-attended event for prospective parents, past parents, and alumni (Old Boys) of Riverview. Headmaster Paul Hine and Head of Boarding Anthony Begg presented information about life at the College, with a focus on boarding options in 2024. 

This event aimed to connect with the Newcastle community and showcase Riverview for both day and boarding students. Many luminaries of the Old Ignatian Union were in the house including John Hayes, Michael King, Bill Love and royalty of the Hunter region, Drew and Danny de Carvalho.
