The inaugural Heartbeats for Xav Friday Night Lights touch football competition took place at Rawson Oval on Friday 24th March. Run by the Mosman Whales Rugby Club, it helped to add even more funds to the $700,000 already raised in support of cardiac research being undertaken by Dr Chris Semsarian AM and the Centenary Institute.

Despite the forecast of a rainy night, the sun couldn’t have shone more brightly on an evening filled with friendship and love. After a polished UTS team outclassed the rest to take out the trophy, all present gathered to listen to a distinctively stirring and meaningful reflection from Xav’s mum, Alison, before hearing insights from Dr Richard Bagnall about the good work being done at the Centenary Institute.

The success of the O’Grady family's fundraising campaign continues to be a testament to them and to the ever-generous and loving Xavier (OR2019).

Please continue to follow its progress and give your support in whatever way possible: https://www.centenary.org.au/heartbeats-for-xav/
