We were greeted with perfect playing conditions at Avondale GC on Wednesday 17th September for the annual OIU v SJCOBU golf day. Sixty-one golfers battled it out for the silverware with the course in tip-top condition. Encouragingly, approximately 40 percent of the OIU golfers were old boys under the age of 30, which bodes well for the future of this competition. 

Special thanks must go to the event organisers and the wonderfully accommodating staff of Avondale who made the day most enjoyable. 

Results: Derick Borean (OR91) - Individual Winner of the Bob Barry Cup; Tim Hart (SJCOBU) and David Digges (SJCOBU) - 4BBB Winners of the Kevin Slocum Shield; Fergus Collins (OR2020) - U30 Winner of the Phil de Baun Cup. 

In the Challenge Match, made up of the aggregate best 20 individual stableford scores from each school, Joey's were able to defend their title from last year by overcoming Riverview 594 points to 580 points.
