'69ers and Friends at Waverley Bowling Club The persistence of Tim Rossi paid off as twenty four hardy souls braved the inclement Sydney weather…and you lot disparage Melbourne's three-seasons-in-a-day climate…for a fine meal and fellowship. Unfortunately or not, depending on your point of view, the barefoot bowling was a washout which left more time to access the bar during happy hour. 

In attendance were Jo Horan and young Jonathon (OR98) (straight from Singapore), Chris & Virginia Greiner, Gavin Schneider, Rosmary Gearin, Geoff & Anne Brauer, Luke Keighery & Helen, John Bingham, Luiz & Noni de Carvalho, Kim Duffy, Anthony & Dianne DeMeyrick, Chris & Marie Nolan, Mark & Genevieve Lusher, Claudia (Rossi) & Roger Hudson, and the two Tims. It was universally considered a very pleasant evening for all who attended…and there was no talk of the rugby! as far as I know. And all seemed keen for a repeat opportunity some time in the future. 

So, in few months, someone in the '69ers mob will suggest a venue: relatively central/easily accessible, with good parking, a nice selection of meals from which people may choose and a bar … and then we can promote our next "families of '69ers" get-together.
