The Juana Network is a professional space for staff at the College to create a culture of inclusivity and diversity. Named after Juana, regent of Spain, the only known female to have died a Jesuit, it provides opportunities for connection, capacity, and confidence for men and women at Riverview. Underpinned by the values of our Jesuit context, the aim of the network is to bring staff together to nurture a sense of compassion, care, community and respect. We have been privileged to hear from community members at our meeting in the last eighteen months as guest speakers, including Dr Ali Walker, Justine Clarke and Kate Horan. We are seeking members of our community to be a guest speaker at one of our 2025 Juana Network events. Previous events have been held in Cova Cottage from 7.30am – 8.30am with the presenter speaking for around 20 minutes followed by a Q&A session. The dates and time would be at the convenience of the presenter. This is a unique opportunity to share your experience to inspire and empower our staff. An example of themes we are interested in exploring, but are not limited to include:
Whether you have a personal story, professional expertise, or practical strategies to offer, your contribution will help foster growth, connection, and empowerment among women and men striving to lead authentically and effectively in our College. If you are interested in presenting at a session, please contact Natalie Baines E: nrbaines@riverview.nsw.edu.au. Dates and times for network meetings are flexible, but these are typically scheduled onsite before or after the school day. |
