The term three Indigenous Mentor BBQ was held at Fr Mac Pavillion on Thursday 1 August. Fresh from the holidays, the boys were joined by the first group of new mentors who have completed their training. Eight boys were introduced to their mentors, made up of old boys and current parents. Each of the eight pairs then spent a brief time together introducing themselves and discussing what they wanted to get out of the partnership. A wholesome dinner of steak, sausages and bread rolls, accompanied with light touch of salad was then shared between the boys and mentors. During dinner, mentors Terry O'Connor and Andrew Meagher talked about their journey through Riverview as boys and their experiences as previous mentors.
