An excellent roll up of 50 class members of the "Year of the Trophies", gathered on 11th October in the Dalton Chapel for Mass and then adjourned to Cova Cottage for lunch . Fr David Strong SJ celebrated Mass with one of our own classmates, Bill Burt SVD. The Mass was an uplifting occasion thanks to the Celebrants who created a wonderful mood of friendship and nostalgia. The College organist Christine Moriarty played some excellent pieces of traditional organ music which added to the occasion. After Mass we enjoyed a superb lunch at Cova Cottage with all the trimmings, provided by the generosity of the College gratis and free. The mood in the Cottage was one of warmth and mateship. As a group we were all aware of what was achieved in '64, winning all GPS competitions. A feat never attained before or since. It was a very memorable day. Stephen O'Halloran. |
