Having also adapted the play, Craig Baldwin (OR94) is directing New York's Red Bull Theatre production of Shakespeare's Richard II. This is the latest of Craig's directing roles, which in the words of one school contemporary, "Is really taking off!" Shakespeare's subtle, ambiguous and beautiful play finds feudal England on the cusp of modernity, as a divinely sanctioned monarch is confronted, in the figure of Henry Bolingbroke, by the hard-headed pragmatism of real authority. 

The play opens on 10 November and runs until 30 November at the Astor Place Theatre, Lafayette St, New York.
