Patrick Rodgers Memorial Service Award

We warmly congratulate Xavier Rickard (OR2017), this year's recipient of the Patrick Rodgers Memorial Service Award. This award is presented annually to a young Old Ignatian who has continued a consistent service commitment and honours the memory and service of Patrick Rodgers (OR2011), who passed away while serving some of the most disadvantaged people in Pailin, Cambodia. Xavier said at today's Assembly, "As you continue your Ignatian Service journey, I encourage you to use your skills to give back to those who need it most... being a companion means learning how to listen; being attentive to others, walking with them on their journey, and hearing their story." We applaud Xavier for continuing his Ignatian Service after leaving the College and being an exemplary "man for others". |
