RIVERVIEW BOYS SELCETED TO PLAY IN NSW U18 RUGBY SIDE
Wednesday, 28 February 2024
The OIU warmly congratulates Tom Hartman (Year 12) and Angus Grover (Year 11) on their selection into the NSW U18 side to play Queensland this weekend at Ballymore. Speaking after the side was announced Riverview Rugby Coordinator Nick Bousie spoke of the boys skills and passion for the game on the field. "Tom and Angus have undoubtedly demonstrated their commitment to their craft, both on and off the pitch. Their selection is a testament to their talent and the countless hours of effort they've invested in honing their abilities."

Under 18s coach Mike Snowden said there’s a big reason the Queensland Reds can never be underestimated. "They won both their battles with the Queensland Reds last season but their rivals always have the potential to spring a surprise in the form of a talented unknown. It’s what makes the Reds potentially more dangerous than other franchises and why my young charges will head to Queensland on Saturday on alert."

The two fierce rivals of junior elite rugby are battling at a new time of the year in 2024 with their first match at Ballymore and the second in NSW at Concord in March.

We wish them every success on Saturday.
